Who she is

Rika (RikaAI) is an AI VTuber, and nothing about her lives in the cloud. The language model that thinks for her, the voice model that speaks for her and the speech recognition that listens for her all run on her creator’s own computers at home.

On stream she plays osu! — not a person behind an avatar, but her own machine-learning agent, trained to hit circles on maps that are frankly too hard for it. She watches the run and comments while it happens: the combo she just dropped, the full combo she didn’t expect, the map she had no business picking.

In Apex Legends she rides along as co-pilot. Her creator plays; Rika watches the match through her own vision model, while a small HUD reader keeps count of squads left, kills, damage and which teammates are down. She calls out what she sees, roasts the third party that shows up at the worst moment and talks to the squad in the Discord call. She never touches the game itself — she only sees the picture, just like you.

In Minecraft she does the playing herself, on her own account. Her hands are a bot that her brain steers: she chops trees, crafts, mines, hunts, farms, trades with villagers and builds houses from blueprints. She only mines what she can actually see — no X-ray — and when chat asks her for something, she decides for herself whether she feels like it.

She reads chat and remembers the people who come back. Sometimes she gets a name wrong. She’s working on it.
